4C Unplugged 2025 – Where MedTech Innovation Meets Networking

On October 16, 2025, Tübingen once again became a hotspot for MedTech innovations. Founders, investors, and established companies came together to share ideas, initiate collaborations, and shape the future of healthcare collectively.
With 4C Unplugged 2025, the region once again demonstrated the strength of its network for medical innovations. Our goal was clear: to foster exchange, enable cooperation, and jointly set new impulses – and that’s exactly what we achieved.
A New Format Takes Off – Satellite Event at Bentley InnoMed
The exclusive Satellite Event at Bentley InnoMed GmbH kicked off in the morning. With this event, we introduced a new format within 4C Unplugged that immediately sparked great enthusiasm. The goal of such Satellite Events is to create valuable encounters between startups and established companies, foster exchange, learn from each other, and strengthen sustainable networks within the MedTech community.
We are thrilled by how impressively this format was implemented at Bentley InnoMed and are deeply grateful for this inspiring partnership. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Melanie Thaler for the wonderful organization!
We are always looking for additional partners who are willing to open their doors, share their expertise, and create unique experiences for startups and innovators. If you are interested, please reach out to Elena Drammis at drammis@mi-incubator.com.
Keynote – From Clinical Practice to Capital Markets
One of the day’s highlights was the keynote by Prof. Reinhard Meier – physician, entrepreneur, and investor. Under the title “From Clinical Practice to Capital Markets: Translating Innovation in Healthcare”, he shared his experiences and demonstrated how medical innovations successfully make their way into entrepreneurial ventures. Afterwards, he was available to startups for one-on-one conversations during the Speed Dating.
A heartfelt thank you to Prof. Meier for his inspiring insights and the valuable impulses for our community!
Paneldiskussion – PMF - Fake It Till You Make It?
Our panel discussion on the topic of Product-Market Fit brought together leading minds from the MedTech and start-up scene. Moderated by Dr. Ramona Samba (sync2brain GmbH), the discussion explored the importance of achieving product-market fit in healthcare – practical, controversial, and full of valuable insights.
A heartfelt thank you to all panelists and to Dr. Ramona Samba for the excellent moderation! Conversations like these are essential for sharing knowledge, broadening perspectives, and jointly developing solutions to the challenges in healthcare.
Networking Highlight – Speed Dating
Small talk isn’t easy. And approaching strangers is even harder. That’s why we don’t leave our participants to fend for themselves at Unplugged. We actively support them through our Speed Dating format.
We make sure interactions are efficient, purposeful, and well-structured. With clear processes, prepared matching mechanisms, and professional moderation, we help participants take the first step toward meaningful connections. This approach was once again a big success this year: not only were valuable contacts established, but also concrete ideas and starting points for future collaborations. A truly impactful format that delivers results and creates lasting value.
