IP2INVEST - Make Investors Say Yes!

THE EVENT
IP2INVEST brought together founders, investors, and IP experts in Tübingen to address a central question: How can intellectual property be used strategically to increase investability, reduce risks, and accelerate financing decisions? The event provided targeted opportunities for direct exchange and networking with investors and IP experts in a personal setting.

THE GUESTS
Participants included startups, investors, and IP experts who actively contributed their perspectives and experiences to the discussions. The group was complemented by a high-caliber jury as part of the Startup BW Elevator Pitch, which provided the presenting teams with well-founded feedback and valuable impulses for their further development.

NETWORK & PARTNERS
The event was made possible through the collaboration of strong partners, including the Medical Innovations Incubator, Cyber Valley, Stoff im Kopf – Textil Accelerator, as well as the Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Tourismus Baden-Württemberg and the Patent- und Markenzentrum Baden-Württemberg. In addition to professional exchange, one thing in particular took center stage: building sustainable connections within the MedTech community.

START-UP BW ELEVATOR PITCH
A special highlight was the Startup BW Elevator Pitch, where selected startups presented their solutions and received direct feedback from a high-ranking jury.

OSORA Medical impressed with AI-powered digital twins for orthopedics and secured the first place. Other awarded teams included QuantiLight, Medora Care, and PediOx.

On May 21, IP2INVEST brought together founders, investors, and IP experts in Tübingen for an afternoon dedicated to a central question: How can intellectual property increase investability, reduce risks, and accelerate financing decisions? The format celebrated its premiere and was so successful that a follow-up is already being planned.

From 3 p.m. onwards, Cyber Valley in Tübingen was transformed into a curated networking space for ambitious founders aiming to strategically align their intellectual property with investors’ expectations and specifically enhance their financing opportunities. Together with experienced experts, discussions focused on how to communicate the value of IP convincingly, which factors are particularly decisive for investors, and which common mistakes in IP strategy should be avoided at all costs.

Another highlight of the program was the Startup BW Elevator Pitch, which gave selected startups the opportunity to present their business ideas to investors and receive direct feedback from experienced jury members. The high quality of the pitches as well as the diversity of approaches impressively underscored the innovative potential of the scene.

First place was secured by OSORA Medical, who impressed with their solution based on AI-powered digital twins for orthopedics and thus qualified for the state final. Second place went to QuantiLight and Medora Care, while PediOx took third place. A high-caliber jury accompanied the competition and provided the teams with valuable impulses for their further development.

The quality of the pitches was exceptionally high. We did not only see innovative ideas, but also impressively well-thought-out business models and a strong clarity in execution. Particularly convincing were teams that combined their technological excellence with a clear market strategy and a compelling understanding of the added value of their solutions. OSORA Medical delivered exactly this combination and stood out as a result. Overall, it is clear: the region’s innovation potential is enormous, and we are excited to see how these
promising startups will continue to develop.
