Dr. Johannes Kindt is Senior Manager for Health Innovations in Corporate Research & Technology at ZEISS, combining scientific expertise with the development of innovative technologies for healthcare applications.
With a PhD in physics, he previously held various research and development roles and today drives the identification and implementation of new healthcare innovations.
In his keynote, Dr. Johannes Kindt explores collaborations between startups and MedTech strategic partners and highlights which forms of collaboration can be successful at different stages of development.
PANEL DISCUSSION: WHAT DOES INNOVATION NEED TO SCALE IN THE HEALTHCARE MARKET?
Entering the healthcare market is often only the beginning. While digital products can scale quickly in many industries, scaling in MedTech requires significantly more. Our panel brings together Farina Schurzfeld (ANDROBIN / Selfapy), Dr. Michaela Kauer-Franz (Custom Medical), Dr. Florian Brandt (IKK Südwest), and Justus Podlinski (better ventures) to discuss the key challenges and requirements for sustainable growth in the healthcare market. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Ramona Samba, CEO & Co-Founder of Sync2Brain and Consultant & C2-Certification Expert at the Medical Innovations Incubator.
Bringing together perspectives from startups, entrepreneurship, health insurance, investment, and MedTech expertise allows us to explore scaling from different angles. At the intersection of healthcare delivery, regulation, and financing, the discussion will examine the conditions innovations need to achieve sustainable growth and the hurdles they face on the path from initial market success to widespread adoption.

Our Satellite Events complement 4C Unplugged with three exclusive formats taking place on the morning of the event. Adina Krausz, CEO of InnoSource Ventures, and Amrita Jain, Investment Director at Deepbright Ventures, will host an investor workshop. Dr. Melanie Thaler from Bentley InnoMed will host a company visit, while Dr. Volker Klügl from ipp Dr. Klügl will lead a regulatory workshop. In small, curated groups, the Satellite Events provide opportunities for in-depth exchange, valuable insights, and individual questions.
